King David wrote Psalm 63 when he was fleeing King Saul’s soldiers and was hiding out in the arid, salty Judean Desert. In this stunningly beautiful Psalm, David shows us how his material struggles were overshadowed by his thirst for Hashem. This is a Psalm for everyone on so many levels – historical, David’s personal psychospiritual reflections and our own, plus a prophecy of today’s time when Klal Yisrael, the Jewish people, are faced with daunting enemies as we struggle in a global wilderness. But, as Rebbe Nachman of Breslov teaches, we don’t have to let the wilderness define us! By developing our Emunah and Bitachon through the power of Hitbodedut (talking to Hashem in our own words about whatever is on our mind) and in our heart we connect with the Kindness of Hashem.

Psalm 63 is a segula for success in business, Emunah and Bitachon.

With insights from the Talmud, Alshich, Rav Hirsch, Rebbe Nachman, William Wordsworth – lehavdil – and more.
