VIDEO: Psalm 47 – Hear the Shofar

Psalm 47 is a powerful segula and prayer for the end of all wars, forever. Recited seven times before the blowing of the shofar on Rosh Hashana, this Psalm is connected both to the annual day of judgment and Hashem’s aspect of judgment, “Elokim”, during the days of Moshiach. It describes how the gentile nations will accept the one true God as the exalted King over everything, above and below. Packed with mystical intentions and future prophecy from King David (redacted from the original by Korach’s sons) this beautiful chapter of Tehillim is well worth learning more about.

*NOTE: Important correction. I said it is difficult today to find uplifting holy music and this is simply not the case. (I myself have a huge playlist of beautiful Jewish music.) What I really meant to say is that we are surrounded by the opposite, wherever we go and it can be a challenge to make time to seek out music for our neshama.
